PR/Marketing Intern, Oxford

Local established author looking for a self-motivated PR/marketing intern who would like to gain direct experience as she launches her third novel (The Feathered Bone releases January 26, 2016). Hours are flexible and telecommuting is great.

Projects may include the following tasks:

  • Expand reach through social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Maintain readership database and create/distribute e-newsletter via Constant Contact
  • Write/edit bonus content (this varies greatly and includes everything from a cookbook to blogposts, etc.)
  • Write/edit/distribute press releases as launch nears
  • Pitch/write/edit magazine articles to expand readership
  • Update website
  • Help with some of the outgoing mail/email

This internship offers no financial compensation, but you can gain lots of experience, possible letters of recommendation, and plenty of resume-building opportunities.

Marketing Communications / Business Administration Assistant

PURPOSE: Marketing, communication & administration for our company – Paid Training – Travel Opportunities -Management for those that qualify

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
-Implementation of marketing plans, including product positioning, campaign strategies, and market strategy insights.
-Discovery of strategic business opportunities through cross function collaboration with sales, HR, etc.
-Marketing opportunity for revenue
-Provide product/service support in order to establish proper channels of information and communication.
-Responsible for branding, advertising, trade shows, company events and promotional collateral

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Advertising or Journalism
-Minimum (0) zero to (5) five years of relevant experience in marketing management with proven success, however we offer paid training
-Must have wide range of experience and understanding of the marketing including product positioning, pricing, promotions, market research, sales and distribution.
-Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently. Need strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure.
-Experience working with agency/client partners, exhibiting the ability to generate maximum return through effective marketing strategies and direction.
