Marketing Communications / Business Administration Assistant

PURPOSE: Marketing, communication & administration for our company – Paid Training – Travel Opportunities -Management for those that qualify

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
-Implementation of marketing plans, including product positioning, campaign strategies, and market strategy insights.
-Discovery of strategic business opportunities through cross function collaboration with sales, HR, etc.
-Marketing opportunity for revenue
-Provide product/service support in order to establish proper channels of information and communication.
-Responsible for branding, advertising, trade shows, company events and promotional collateral
-Work with management on projects dealing with media relations, business communications, success stories

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Advertising or Journalism
-Minimum (0) zero to (5) five years of relevant experience in marketing management with proven success, however we offer paid training
-Must have wide range of experience and understanding of the marketing including product positioning, pricing, promotions, market research, sales and distribution.
-Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently. Need strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure.
-Experience working with agency/client partners, exhibiting the ability to generate maximum return through effective marketing strategies and direction.

REPORTING INTERNSHIP, CAP COD TIMES, DEADLINE 3/15/13

Cape Cod Times, a 50,000-plus-circulation daily in Hyannis, Mass., is offering a 10-week paid summer internship, beginning in late June, in its features department. The position is open to college students who will enter their junior or senior year this fall.

Duties will include writing features and performing other tasks to assist editors overseeing arts & entertainment, lifestyle, home, food, health and other sections. For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to work with veteran editors on challenging, fun stories while spending the summer on Cape Cod.

The position pays $10 an hour for 37.5 hours a week. Interns are responsible for finding their own housing, though we will help with leads.

Position: Public Relations Intern
Department: Marketing

Department Summary: Forever 21 is seeking an innovative, energetic, and passionate team player to add to our dynamic Public Relations team.

Job Purpose: The Public Relations Intern will assist in facilitating trend/product-related communications between in-house and international PR agencies.
NOTE: This is a 6 month internship

Deliverables:
• Execute all editorial, credit, and image requests: Compile and send lists of all editorial, image, and credit requests to PRC weekly
• Update and maintain editor contact lists
• Handle all shipping requests for the team
• Assist in coordinating press samples with internal team; Allocate and distribute samples to global agencies and editors
• Assist with the creation and distribution of trend reports for internal and external use
• Coordinate photography requests for the PR, Social Media, and Retail Marketing teams
• Assist in trend/product research and prepare information for all one-sheets
• Execute all editor, blogger, and influencer gifting

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred
• 0-1 years of internal Public Relations experience preferred
• Must have the ability to work on multiple projects with multiple points of contact in an ever changing environment
• Must have experience creating corporate brand and press materials
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• General understanding of international business etiquette and culture required

We are looking for a smart, driven Marketing Intern with a strong interest in marketing, social media, and entrepreneurship – not necessarily in that order. COMMITMENT

The mission of our internship program is to provide college students with exposure to and work experience in the nonprofit sector. Because DonorsChoose.org is still a relatively new organization, interns have the unique opportunity to contribute to its growth and scalability.
Previous intern responsibilities and projects include:
• Planning, coordinating, and conducting interviews for short marketing videos
• Designing the website’s landing page for “Gift Options”
• Researching potential celebrities to help with marketing campaigns
