Applying for Graduation

Students must submit a completed and signed and Intent to Graduate form to the Assistant Dean for Student Services in the Meek School of Journalism and New Media at least two semesters in advance of the term in which they intend to graduate.  A Dean’s hold will be placed on your account once you have completed 70% of your degree and will remain in place until you have submitted the Intent to Graduate Form.

Transfer Credit

The Meek School of Journalism and New Media requires students to receive prior approval to earn credit for all courses taken at another institution. Written permission must be granted by the dean’s office prior to enrolling in courses to be transferred. Unapproved transfer courses will not be accepted.

UM transfer credit will not be granted for any courses taken at another institution while concurrently enrolled at UM.
